This class is for people with no sketch-writing experience who want an intro to the comedy form. It is also for people with some sketch-writing experience who want to learn a structured approach to writing. Its assignments work for both filmed and live sketches.

📗 Instructor Bio

Danielle Steger is a sketch comedy writer, director, and performer. She directs Acuña Acuna, which has won multiple awards and is the writer and performer of Danielle She/Her, which debuted in 2024 to a standing ovation. Her other credits include shows at Solocom (NYC), the San Francisco Sketchfest, the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (UK). Danielle trained in sketch comedy at The Second City and Dojo Comedy, where she was a longtime house team member. She is also an improv teacher and performer with Rails Comedy and Washington Improv Theater.
